Would have thought that William in North Stoneham 1841 was yours, with Mother Betty, as Elizabeth on Baptism...

Thanks SyviainCanada, I had this info and did wonder if it was my William. The fact that he is a trainee in the dockyard makes me feel that this is the one. William was some form of mariner and worked in Cheshire on the ferries there. Now to work backwards and see how thing fit in together. Thanks, Dorothy

Hi Maddie, so the marriage was in 1770 between Parrington and Hatcher or Hutcher and Elizabeth D Parrington was their daughter born 1791. So is the Lavington a mis write of Parrington . There is Marriage & Death Cert for William on Ancestry...do you have these? If not I can send them to you this afternoon. No father given for William on Mar Cert so looks like he was illegitimate. Interestingly, one of the Witnesses to Marriage is Rose Ann Ellen Kinslow so Rose Ann Ellen seem to be Family names making the death found by Andy a possibility.
