How do I show an orphaned niece living with her uncle in my tree please

Put her with her parents first and save

Then go to her name and press edit and span down the page to the notes box where you can add the info

Thanks for that Shirley. That's what I did. But when anyone reads my tree they don't read the notes. They take it as seen on the tree.

Her tree is her ancestry rather than who she lived with though

An offline tree like FTM will print the notes too

Genes tree is a bit limited I,m afraid

:-)

You could put her as a child of her uncle/aunt and include niece in brackets as though it were part of her surname. A bit odd, but it might solve the problem of people who don't read notes!! :-)

I disagree with Andysmum, she is the daughter of her birth parents no matter who she is living with and should be listed as such on the family tree.
