my name is Donna Lindle my mum Maureen Ann Leeke was adopted when just a baby she was adopted to the Leeke family which we know of. But we are trying to find her birth mother Elizabeth or Betty Wagstaff from Derby /Nothingham . My mum was born in 1944 on the 24th may

do you know how old her mother was, when she had maureen best to remove your mums date of birth if she is still living you can leave the year on

Welcome to the boards, Donna.

When you say Elizabeth was "from Derby / Nottingham" do you mean that's where she was living when your mum was born, or do you mean that's where she was born?

There were 4 Elizabeth Wagstaffs born in Derbyshire 1900-1928 - but none actually in Derby.

Also four born in Nottinghamshire in the same period - two of them actually in Nottingham - 1903 and 1907.
The 1907 one had the middle name Annie.

there's a Betty M Wagstaff born 1928 in Chesterfield - mother Wagstaff

there's a Maureen A Leeke married in Belper to a Woolley in 1963
