Please could someone have a look for me on F M P for Richard Abbot* born1792 in Kirby westmoreland..He is on the 1841 census age 45 with his son Robert and is a Quarryman..Then on 1851 he is with his other son Richard ( jnr)..Richard 1792 gives his age as 59 and on 1861his is given age is 69..which makes his birth 1792c..He disspears after 1861 of which ive never found him :-(

The western edge of that reg district isn't a million miles from where son Robert was living in 1861 (Darlington) or 1871 (Hamsterley)

on Durham records online that 1863 death in Stockton district says born c1793 abode the County Asylum

so could be your Richard

Alviegal-thanks.Iphoned the register office regarding this info and was informed that if ide acquired it from ancestrythat there is a chance that the information could be incorrect :-(
