There was a previous thread about this family. I can't get into "My threads" to give a link to it. It's not showing on a Google search so perhaps it has been deleted?

from wikipedia ............

HMS Arethusa (1849) was a 50-gun fourth-rate launched in 1849. She was fitted with screw propulsion in 1861 and became a training ship in 1874. She was broken up in 1934.

Once decommissioned, the ship was passed from the Royal Navy to a charity called 'Shaftesbury Homes'. Who provide refuge and teach children who had been sleeping rough on the streets of London. It trained those young boys for a career in the Royal Navy or Merchant Navy. After the ship was broken up an onshore base was built as the Arethuse Venture Centre, which provides residential school trips and educational visits for young people throughout the UK. It also offers outdoor challenges and adventures, to aid confidence and self-esteem in young people.

There were no penalties for not registering a birth at the time he was born. Maybe he was not registered

For our benefit

Name: William Denoird
Record Type: Baptism
Baptism Date: 7 Jul 1867
Father's name: William Samuel Denoird
Mother's name: Caroline Denoird
Parish or Poor Law Union: Bethnal Green St Matthias
Borough: Tower Hamlets
Register Type: Parish Registers

Have you tried FreeBmd? That's sometimes easier to filter than subscription sites.
Apart from the alternate spellings, you might also need to consider that his birth wasn't registered. It didn't become compulsary until the mid 1870s.

As you say Angelo John was the father & the bap has William Samuel, are you certain the bap is correct?

Karrie Report 20 Feb 2016 18:08

Looking for birth of William Denoird circa 1867. Have found his baptism on 7 July 1867 and again in the 1871 census with father Angelo John and mother Caroline plus brother James. Query over surname as may have been Denoa or Deniord or Demere . Would like to find his birth and even his death. Family lived in Bethnal Green. Thanks in advance
