Maria's children are now shown as Thomas's children not step-children however there is now Beatrice who is shown with the surname Kingstone but she wasn't shown with the family in 1881.

I have found a birth for a Beatrice Kingston but think I have found her with her parents in 1881. I cannot find a birth for a Beatrice Ward.

I'd guessed she was Thomas's daughter it was just surprising that she was down as Kingston and also she wasn't with them in the previous census. I haven't been able to find her in the previous census either.

If she was born 1882 she wouldn't be on the 1881 census and also wouldn't be 11 in 1891.

Could Annie Kingston (mother of Beatrice L Kingston bapt 5th Oct 1880) be the daughter of George and Maria Kingston??. (there is a birth reg for an Annie Kingston in 1862 in Rotherham)
Could the Beatrice Kingston shown in the census as the daughter of Maria and Thomas Ward be Maria's granddaughter ??

RR posted the birth of a Beatrice Liversidge Kingston, which she discounted because the mother 's name was Annie.

In 1901 Thomas and Maria have a grand-daughter surnamed Liversidge, born in Bradgate, and a grandson with the middle name of Liversidge.
Liversidge was actually his surname, per his birth record, and his mother was Annie - see below.

So I would guess that Annie was a sister of Maria, and the Thomas and Maria had taken Beatrice to live with them before Annie married Mr Liversidge.

One of their children is with Maria Ward on the 1901 census posted above.

Ellen/Eleanor/Helener was with parents George and Maria Kingston in 1871.

So it is looking more like Annie was the daughter of George and Maria Kingston.

Looking at all the information you have found I believe you may be right. I wasn't aware that George and Maria had got a daughter named Annie as I haven't found her with the family in any census even in 1871. I have only found the following children

I have since tried looking for Annie in 1871 but cannot find her nor can I find a baptism record.

I am not related, Maria is my sons 3x gt grandmother on their dads direct line and I am intrigued to know if Annie is her daughter.
