Find Ancestors

Hi,

Could some kind person please look at the 1861 census for Frederic Wallis born 1830 Stapleford Nottingham index says in Lecistershire it just the 1861 census I need for now please. His wife was Elizabeth who he married in 1860 in Nottingham and she died sometime in the 1860's he then married an Ellen Whitehead in 1870 in Nottingham I have them on 1871 census in Ilkeston Derbyshire and back in Nottingham on 1881 census and he is in the workhouse in 1901.

I'm going out so will be back later on today.

Hi Malyon and Chris,

Thank you for looking yes that's his marriage in 1860 to Elizabeth Williams I have a copy of his birth and yes I think that him in the 1891 census.

Not sure if its the right one in 1861 as he was married will have to check to see if there was another Frederick Wallis born c1830 in Stapleford unless it is him and he's left his wife Elizabeth.

Yes that's his christening and him on the 1871 census which throws up another problem the Fred son says born London but is not on any other census and born before he married Elizabeth Williams in 1860.

Just been looking at Frederic 2 marriages first one to Elizabeth Williams and Second one to Ellen Whitehead both marriages says he was living on Pipe Street, Nottingham so is there anyway of finding Pipe Street on the 1861 census please.

Yes Chris but sometimes when they leave their wife's they put unmarried as they don't what others to know they are still married.

I have found Pipe st. - does it give a house number?

No sorry they don't it just a matter of going though the whole street and seeing if there is any Wallis's there.

Looks like they moved away then moved back Thank you sooooooooo much for looking, it looks like he is the one in Loughborough then as its the only one that matches all details apart from him being married.
