Possibly Ann's death.
Her son Alfred was living in Chorlton in 1881, so she may have been living with him in her last years.

Ann Noble
in the England & Wales, FreeBMD Death Index, 1837-1915
Name: Ann Noble
Estimated birth year: abt 1807
Registration Year: 1878
Registration Quarter: Jul-Aug-Sep
Age at Death: 71
Registration district: Chorlton
Inferred County: Lancashire
Volume: 8c
Page: 478

EDIT: Have just noticed that a tree on Ancestry agrees with that (though info on trees should always be taken with a pinch of salt) - death 4 August 1878.
It also gives this as her burial record:

Ann Noble
in the Manchester, England, Deaths and Burials, 1813-1985
Name: Ann Noble
Birth Year: abt 1807
Age: 71
Burial Date: 7 Aug 1878
Parish: Ashton Under Lyne, St Peter
Parish as it Appears: St Peter, Ashton-Under-Lyne
Reference Number: L74/1/3/8
Item Number: 3
Archive Roll: 521

The tree also gives the 1854 Keynsham death for Thomas which I posted above.

She's still listed as married in 1871, but is probably widowed, as she's living as a servant

Ancestry suggests this for Thomas's death:

Thomas Noble
in the England & Wales, FreeBMD Death Index, 1837-1915
Name: Thomas Noble
Registration Year: 1854

He's not with Ann and the family in 1861, but Ann's still listed as married, rather than widowed - doesn't mean she's not widowed, of course:

Ann Noble
in the 1861 England Census

Gee

Gee Report 30 Dec 2015 10:16

Dea isn't 'Walcot' the place of birth, not a middle name?

Dea

Dea Report 30 Dec 2015 09:31

In viewe of some of the children's middle names being 'Walcot' I was looking for a marriage on either the Noble or Barnard sides to link with Walcot.

Now, Gins info above about Isaac Barnard being married to a Sophia may well link to this marriage:

Isaac Barnard
mentioned in the record of Isaac Barnard and Sophia Wenutt Or Werrett
Name Isaac Barnard
Spouse's Name Sophia Wenutt Or Werrett
Event Date 18 May 1806
Event Place St. Sephen, Bristol, Gloucester, England

You will note that there was some uncertainty about her surname which may possibly turn out to be 'Walcot' ??

EDIT - Forget the above - it's nonsense !! - see below.....

Rodney Report 30 Dec 2015 07:49

Hi my name is Rod Crocker, I'm an Aussie looking for distant ancestors.
I'm looking for information on Thomas Noble, Born in 1809 in Batcombe.
Married Anne ? ( maybe Barnard) she was about 1 year older than Thomas,
and was born in Wickwar Gloucestershire in 1808. They settled in Bath and had about 8 Children there. What I'm looking for in particular is Thomas's parents,
Record of his Baptism, His marriage record for correct name of wife. and death records for him and his wife. Any clues or information would be greatly appreciated.
Regards Rod Crocker
