I found that last night Ann, I looked for a lady who was nine years old in 1939 and it gave her maiden and married names.

If anyone is having trouble finding a lady on this register who was single at the time, try looking for her under her married name.

Apparently amendments were made to the register up to 1991, with the maiden name crossed out and the married one inserted. It is apparently the 1991 version which has been transcribed
