Frances Report 14 Dec 2015 10:58

My efforts to trace the Woolham family back, in Bradford, have met with a problem.

The 1881 census I have includes my target George Frederick Arthur

1881
William WOOLHAM
Head M Male 55 Whitchurch, Shropshire, England Shoemaker
Mary Ann WOOLHAM
Wife M Female 52 Shipton, York, England Housewife
G.F.A. WOOLHAM
Son U Male 18 Bradford, York, England Brick Layer
Frances M.B. WOOLHAM
Dau Female 16 Bradford, York, England Worsted Twister
Mary WOOLHAM
Dau Female 14 Bradford, York, England Spinner Factory
Eliza WOOLHAM
Dau Female 12 Bradford, York, England Spinner Factory
Joshua WOOLHAM
Son Male 10 Bradford, York, England Spinner Factory
Dwelling: 5 Margerison Street, Bradford, Yorkshire

My problem is that his prents are somewhat old for G F A to be their oldest child and in fact there are quite a lot more to choose from in FreeBMD for the years when the parents are the right age and a marriage to match. Unfortunately there are 2 Mary Ann and I wondered if the 1851 + 1861 could solve these mysteries?

Marriages Sep 1848
Woolham William Bradford Yk
23 109

Poole Mary Ann Bradford Y
23 109

Farrar Mary Ann Bradford Y
23 109

Many thanks,
Frances
