Thank you everyone who contributed to this. All your hard work.

I have a feeling it is the Walter H married to Sarah that is my chap. They are living in Tottenham, and in 1881 he and his brother were in Tottenham. I think the family split after their mother Emma's death in 1878. It would appear that Walter was christened with the name of Hollingsworth, so maybe James Hayden wasn't his birth father after all.

Once again thanks, some brilliant researchers. Sue :-D

Hi all,

Sorry i'm late replying. You have all been very busy and there is a lot of info for me. Thank you all who have contributed for your support and help..

I have looked at all, and my feeling is that the one where he is married to Sarah Kingsley looks interesting. He was in Tottenham in 1881, so could well be.
Also the court case .
Think I will take out subs. on SEAX for a week.

A tree on Ancestry has the 1871 and 1881 census as above, but then links him to the 1891 and 1911 as posted below. Barnston and Dunmore (Dunmow) as his places of birth on those census' are about 2 miles apart, but 15 + from Clavering. I don't think it's your Walter??

Wonder if anyone could help please. The above, not sure if he is Hayden or Hollingsworth, as his mother Emma did not re marry until 1870. The last record of him I have is 1881 census he is in London with his half brother Charles Hollingsworth.

If someone could find him after that, would be much appreciated.

Thanks Sue
