Hi, would anyone know where babies born at the old St Mary's hospital (285 Harrow Road), Paddington, London (the workhouse infirmary) in 1931/2 would likely have been christened? Many thanks. Carol??

Ok thanks - just thought there may have been a church nearby which was usually used.

On the image for the 1881 census for the workhouse in Paddington it doesn't give a parish name but on the previous image the parish is St. Stephen's which is in Westbourne Park Road not too far away.

However as Andy has already said, babies born in the workhouse could have been christened wherever the parents decided. The mother may not have lived in the workhouse. She may have gone there just to give birth in the infirmary.
