Many thanks everyone for the information. The surname Irving rings a bell, don't know why I never noticed the spelling error myself. The John Clark 1853 on the 1911 census is my 3x great grandfather. |

That 1891 census is not correct Malyon. That Joseph is still with his mother and siblings in 1901- the Joseph who married E Clarke was married before 1901. |

Ancestry has the surname as Swing, but by cross referencing with FMP the surname there is transcribed as IRVING which means the probable marriage is easier to find! |

Help needed to find marriage record for Joseph Swing and Elizabeth Clark from Liverpool. All I can find is an 1911 Liverpool census, which states they had been married for 11 years so must have married in 1899-1900. They were probably married in a . Catholic church as the Clarks were all Roman Catholics. They were both born in Liverpool. |
