I don't have a sub to see 1851, but in piece 2254 on folio 581 there's a William Berry a=8 pob=America, and on the same page is a Laycock Pollard a=78

I suspect that William went to America as a small baby and, as a child, he didn't realize that he wasn't born there?

Thank you Ann and Maddie, With all the extra census the family now has many more children than I was aware of! My delay has been caused by going backwads and forwards with what I already have and what you have added. My hope was to get William Laycock,s original parents, who are in one of my old trees as Robinson Berry and Hannah Pollard but I can't find any record of where I got those names.
This is going to keep me busy for quite some while yet, trying to understand the Watson connection!
