Please would someone look at the emigration records on Ancestry for me and see if the above appears anywhere.

He is OH's great-uncle and we didn't know he existed until after most of his generation were dead.

On FMP's recent free weekend, I found lots of newspaper references to him, including one which said he did a month in prison, in 1923. (Which might explain why nobody mentioned him!!)

The only reference after that is a brief announcement in 1940 that he had died in America.

OH has just found a cemetary site with his name as being buried in Regina, Canada, so it is possible the newspaper item is true.

Before leaving the country he lived in Nelson, Lancashire, was a champion swimmer and was in the Coldstream Guards until 1917.

He was married to Ellen Parker, but, according to the newspaper, had stopped paying her any alimony, hence the Court case. He said he would continue paying her if she agreed to a divorce, and was sentenced to a month in jail.

Did he then go to America?? Help, please.
