Hello, Is anyone doing research at Suffolk Record Office in Ipswich?
This place is too far for me to get to.

I need some help with information from some baptisms and 2 marriages dating from c1836 to work out relationships within my family tree.

can you say who you are looking for?

I've tried everything I can think of on the internet. (Findmypast, Ancestry, familysearch, Google)

Ancestry has some of the film no's connecting to familysearch, but there's no image available for those records and Suffolk is just as difficult as The National Archives.

If anyone can help me out on any of these....

There are witnesses on the pre-1837 marriage certificates - was it from 1812 or earlier? - which could help you find 'family'.

Hi, Thanks for all your helpful suggestions.

I have all the Census relating to Mowle/Mortimer. I have Alfred Mowle birth certificate which was very disappointing. No street address, no father, just mother Ann Mowle - as if single. I thought if I could find out more about the baptism and marriages of his siblings I might be able to find out more.

Joshua Mowle and Ann are on some of the baptism transcripts on Ancestry & familysearch. I'm unable to find Joshua Mowle in any of the Census and was hoping it might show his occupation or death in the baptisms/marriages.

The family set up is very confusing. Joshua Mowle and Ann Denny marry, they have 4 kids. Joshua isn't living with his wife. Ann (joshua's wife) is a housekeeper for Ezeikiel Mortimer. In 1848 she has a baby by Ezeikiel. (Ezeikiel & Ann aren't married)
Ann's daughter Emma Mary Mowle marries Ezeikiel's father, George Mortimer.
Most of Joshua Mowle and Ann's children change their names to Mortimer.
and that's what I have to date.

I'm curious as to what the daughter put for her father in her marriage to George Mortimer.
