Looking for marriage of Lewis Harold Hall of Chicargo, he was born 1907 in Farmington IL to George William Hall and Alice Emery-Lawton and married a lady called Geraldine born 1911 in Chicargo circa 1911.

Lewis later lived in California but there was no sign of Geraldine, in 1940 they were resident of Chicargo and Lewis's occupation was as a dentist.

Did you try FamilySearch?

This is a contender as he was single on the US 1930 census:

His school yearbooks (one with photo) are on Ancestry. They show he studied chemistry at the University of Indiana so that marriage seems quite likely.

oh my goodness Ann, malyon had posted the 1940 Chicago census already

(Detroit has nothing to do with the question)

and safc had posted the marriage right in the very first place

> over an hour earlier in both cases .............

it really just does not help the rest of us trying to follow the information in a thread, let alone the asker, to have the same thing posted over and over, and completely unrelated things posted

really it doesn't

why not just delete them???

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 6 Nov 2015 18:14

well as I had the posting open while doing searches I was unaware they had already been posted
