I have removed the names of living people for privacy but you can just click on that link and get them yourself ... and then probably search at http://www.canada411.ca (which google would find you on a search for Canada white pages if you don't know it) for the names in the obituary, most of which are fortunately rather unusual ... although there seem to be no specifically matching listings

obituary of his sister who died after the above

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/thestar/obituary.aspx?pid=165420840

the niece mentioned in both obits is probably listed in Edmonton at canada411

her husband's name is spelt correctly in Dorothy's obituary and googling it will find their Facebook page and other info

Hilda's obituary 2013, more family names

Mark, you are no newbie at getting other people to find your information for you

WHAT information are you seeking about him???

and as Sylvia says, what hat did you pull him out of that you want information about him?

if you want information about him, then you have information about him ...

the thread linked to above

http://www.genesreunited.com.au/boards/board/ancestors/thread/1314465?d=asc

indicates a bit of a habit of having information and not bothering to mention it, and not bothering to find info as easily accessible to you as to anyone else (e.g. freebmd)

Records in Canada (edited) are kept by each individual province.

So, one has to know the province in which he was born, lived and died.

Plus, Canada has a very strict 50 / 70 or 80 / 100 year rule depending upon which Vital Statistic is wanted.

That basically means that you are within the restricted years for release of birth, marriage and death records.

That means you need to be looking at newspapers from the area(s) in which he lived.

where did you get the information from?? That could give us a lead
