FMP 1801 & 1821 census

Thank you DC - I knew it was a bit sketchy and had read somewhere that the Parish Clergy were expected to provide the names. In other instances, only the Landlords or Owners were listed.

The 1841 was the first census which recorded people in a way which would really be helpful to Family Historians, all others prior to this were really just head counts, in some areas quite literally just that.

And in 1841 when they changed the format, to ask more detailed questions, many people were so very suspicious, thinking it was the governments way to find them for tax purposes, that there are quite a few people missing as they did not want to be recorded.

Arthur Farm is a district and there are 234 people listed. Just the one Trice, as above.
