Welcome to the boards Sandra.

The best way to go would be to purchase a copy of Ivy's birth certificate.

The best place to order certs online is here........

Isabella's maiden name was Newton.

Marriages Jun 1905 (>99%)
IMBER Henry Chippenham 5a 127
Newton Isabella Chippenham 5a 127

so perhaps Isabella had a daughter when she was very young, who in turn was Ivy's mother.

(i.e. Ivy is Isabella's granddaughter, not Henry's)

This appears to be poor Isabella? Maybe it's not her? The poor woman was very troubled. Described as being demented, muttering to herself and frequently trying to undress, she was also violent to other inmates and had a very bad memory.
