I just can't understand why someone would say Dimbleby when they meant Paulger!

Fred Paulger married Eliza Elizabeth Dimbleby in Lincoln in 1892. Any help?

There might be family money in it, of course, to make him call himself Dimbleby.....but not on legal documents and Censuses..
