Thank you for help. It would appear only another sister Alice was born to John and Mary. Having looked on ancestry and lancs bmd I am at a loss to finding a marriage for John and Mary.

there are several possibilities ..........


they didn't in fact marry

they married elsewhere

they married years after the birth of the children.



the problem is that there are quite a few marriages for John Prestwich to Mary xxxx in Lancashire between say 1790 and 1820
