I am trying to discover who the parents of Mary Irene Griffiths b1911 are.

Mary was born and registered in Dec qtr of 1911 - King's Norton Reg. District.
Maiden name of mother is recorded as 'Foster'. Born AFTER 1911 census which so frustrating....!!

There are quite a few marriages with Griffiths/Foster combination from 1890's through to 1911 and I don't know which is the correct one!!

One possible marriage is between Arthur Edwin Griffiths & Bertha Annie who married in King's Norton Reg District, Sept qtr of 1906. Same registration district and close enough to birth of Mary in 1911.

Can anyone help with this one please?

1911 census says married 4 years, no children, so Mary was the first. No others in Kings Norton, so may have been an only child.

I have found daughter of above John & Mary Carmichael - Susan M. Carmichael (1947 - 2006). Was wondering if she was an only child?

Susan was registered in Birmingham 1947. There are other births to Carmichael / Griffiths parents, but not in the Birmingham area - (Bucklow, Manchester & Cardiff).

Can I assume that Susan was an only child, or not?

Also, was her father - John Limont Carmichael - an only child? His parents were Kenneth C. Carmichael & Agnes K Cormack.
