cant see a death for abel with that year of birth in bdm so perhaps he did immigrate

He married Ann in Manchester 1821- so although the 1861 lists him as born 1805, I think the the 1871 where he is listed as born 1798, would be more accurate. This seems a more likely baptism for him:
