Think this is probably her death below, the Will calenders confirm she was a spinster, - Also bear in mind, on Alfred's army records he gives his Mum's address as Torquay, Devonshire- so the family were definitely in the south of England.

I'm not sure about that 1951 death. There's a 1909 marriage for Adelaide Wells (born 1887) and John Adams in Walsall, Staffs.

The family appear on the Birmingham electoral registers from 1939 living in Handsworth at 76 Grestone Avenue. Adelaide is listed there until 1950- by 1952 she isn't listed, although other family members are still there. So I'm guessing the 1951 death is for Adelaide Adams nee Wells.

Possibly Mary. I think the death and burial in Birmingham is more likely to be her.

Could that rule the above marriage out?
