Yes, it's my mother's family. Her dad was Frederick. When I found him on the census, she was surprised to hear he was born in Essex as she'd always thought he was Warrington born and bred - where the family wound up before Charlie was born.

He didn't seem to have much contact with his family after marrying my grandmother, as mum can't remember meeting his siblings or his father (his mother died in 1915), although she was aware of his brothers.

Reginald born 1935 and david born 1943 hard to find marriages for them too many with name horton

I'm trying to track down my grandfather's siblings on my mother's side. His youngest brother was Charles (Charlie) James Horton born July (I think) 1908 in Stockton Heath, Cheshire.

A search at Ancestry finds a possible marriage to Doris Jepson in Qtr 4 - possibly December - 1934, in Warrington. And, if I've found the correct person, he died in Qtr 4 1983.

Any info gratefully received.
