1891 Census look up - SWAINSTON

Please can anyone have a look through the 1891 census for the Swainston family.

People, age in 1891 census and birthplace and professions:

William SWAINSTON - 43 - Hawker - Born: Manchester, Lancashire
Ann SWAINSTON - 30/31
Bridget SWAINSTON - 7 - Born: Colne, Lancashire
Ann Swainston - 11 months - Born: Wakefield, Yorkshire

Note: Elizabeth Swainston was a twin and the other twin was called Mary Swainston, she died on the 10th December 1890 in Bradford so I'm assuming they could be round that area. Their next son was Edward Swainston and he was born 23 Jan 1895 in Dewsbury so they should still be round that area of Yorkshire I think? If anyone can find the census I would be really greatfull to you.

Thanks

DJS

DJS - you mention "Note: Elizabeth Swainston was a twin and the other twin was called Mary Swainston, she died on the 10th December 1890 in Bradford so I'm assuming they could be round that area."

When was Elizabeth Swainston born? Is she one of the missing in 1891? Is she connected to the people you have listed?

Is the information for the people in your opening post what you'd be expecting to find in 1891?

DJS Report 12 Aug 2015 23:14

Elizabeth and Mary were born in the 11 Apr 1890 in Wakefield but Mary died in the December of that year in Bradford and Elizabeth survived so she would be in the 1891 census and yes the people I've wrote down in my opening post are who I'm expecting to find that's why I've wrote the information of their age at the time and who they were with, where they were born and where abouts they could be

OK - just trying to establish facts in order to try and help. Do you know for definite that William would be a hawker at that time?

Reason for asking that is there's a 1902 marriage for a Bridget Swainston in Oldham, father William - but he's a Moulder.

Was Bridget born before her parents marriage and registered as Roch(e)? Again, just trying to suss out clues in case any are with maternal grandparents.

Marie - Yes you're right on both questions. William had 2 professions in his time and yes Ann gave Birth to Bridget before she met William.

Chris - that is also my post on Ancestry
