The content is of a sensitive nature......so I will PM the story to Margaret.

No details regarding the father William (James) Fletcher except that he "supposedly" married Alice Hannah Austin.

On his Marriage Certificate 20 Jun 1899 to Mary Ellen O'Brien it states that he is 24 a Fisherman, living at 19 St Paul's Rd, Rock Ferry and that his Father was William James Fletcher Deceased ( no occupation).

BORN Cheshire or Lancashire( of unknown parents) in possibly the 1850s. He was said to be a commercial traveller on the birth cert issued for his Son William James FLETCHER born 1875. His supposed Wife was said to be Alice Hannah FLETCHER nee AUSTIN. I can't find any proof of their marriage. He wasn't on the 1881 Census but his Son and Wife were living in St. Paul's Road Fish shop Tranmere or Rockferry Wirral Cheshire England.
I have been searching for more info regarding him my Great Grandfather for a number of years. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Margaret in Australia.
