Find Ancestors

Hi all,I am trying to find the birth and parents of a William Turvey,I have William in the census years of 1851 aged 6 and living with a couple named Jenkins and down as a visitor in the Bedfordshire area,,in the 1961 census,he is down as the head and seems to be living on his own aged 16,but living next door is a family of Turveys,in the 1971 census the name is down as Parvey but is Turvey with his now wife Ann,in 1881 he is still with Ann and children.then in 1891 one of the children is Harry aged 4,and in 1901 Harry is aged 14.I then have Harry as marred in 1914,so if you can help me I would be truly thankful,thanks for your time in advance.

Just to add William died in 1922 in Willesden London.

I have just noticed the birth 1846,and it says there baptised 1844,so maybe its not him

I would say the baptism that Andrew found is your William Turvey.
It says he was baptised in October 1844, that makes him six years old on the 1851 census , seven around sept/october 1851.

In the 1861 census William is living at home with his parents Samuel and Mary Ann Turvey.

Thanks Andrew and Sylvia,but I don't think that's the right William, Sylvia if you followthat one through the census he does not have a son named Harry.

Deserting Family
James Turvey, of Houghton Regis, was charged with deserting his children, whereby they had become chargeable to the parish. It appearing that both the children were illegitimate, and that the defendant's wife was dead, the Bench discharged him.

James Turvey married Mary Lancaster in Houghton Regis on 22 October 1835. One of their children was William ,who married Ann Robins. We would be interested to hear if anyone else is researching these families.
