My great, great , great grandfather, Joseph Wilson was born in Cockerton, Darlington, County Durham in about 1801 and Married a Elizabeth Martin in I believe Cowton, Yorks in about 1824. I have tried to find out how to get a copy of the marriage from Parish Records but I haven't been able to find out how to get a copy of the marriage details. I know that Joseph married Elizabeth because I have their son's birth certificate (Robinson Wilson) who was my great, great grandfather. Can anyone advise me on how I can acquire this information.

Maddie posted the record of the marriage. On fmp you can also see the image.

They were married by Thomas Jackson, the vicar and witnesses were Abraham Ward, Jane Walker, Ralph Walker and Mary Martin.

Joseph was a batchelor from the Parish of Darlington. Elizabeth was a spinster from East Cowton.

No parents are mentioned.
