1911 census records 'completed' years of marriage...........so 1895 is much more likely, in view of the date of the 1911 census

I think it would be in your best interest to purchase a copy on the 1895 Deane/Norton marriage.........to find out what information it gives regarding William's father.

It will also give you info as to where he was living at the time of marriage and the witnesses might be family members, which might prove helpful.

Brother in 1911...born batter sea...gets back to parents George and Rebekah ..George born 1852 Morton/mars ton wilts. 8 year old William with them in 1881

The 1901 census for the family Deane is just George Deane and wife Selina, the children they have on 1911 are the same as for 1901 so he was only GEORGE aged 30 on the 1901 census
