Hi
Am looking for birth or any info re: Herbert Edward Ruscoe who married Elizabeth Anne Giles on 24.03.1912 at St. John's, Ealing. Marriage cert. states he is 26 a bachelor, a Shoemaker, living at 14, Westfield Road, Ealing. There is no father mentioned. Unable to find him in 1911 census or earlier. He was registered after the wedding as living at 106, Warwick Road, Ealing, up until his death in 1956 in Ealing. We have records of his two children and his wifes death in 1970 in Rugby. We can't find any records prior to 1912.
Can anyone help?

He seems to have acquired the second name at his marriage and death as there are Herbert Ruscoe 's in Cheshire but with no second name and on census they show father's name . No Herbert occ shoemaker either

Just found his Probate record which gives his death as 02.07.1956 and he is listed as Edward Ruscoe. No Herbert mentioned. It is him as wife and address are correct.

This could be him in 1911 census. Have now found Edward Roscoe in 1891 census aged 6 and born in Chelsea. Living in a Convalescent Home in Margate.
