Thanks to everyone who have answered my post I was not expecting to get anything. I do have his family, this John is my GG Grandfather, I have four children that I have found due to Ellen's young age there may have been more.
What I am after is his birth I also have him born in WISBECK WALSOKEN (wallsutton) however there is no Austin born around that time in that area John is an enigma.
I have looked for his death but have not been successful in that area .
On Johns wedding certificate it stares he is Gunner 4TH COMANY 3RD BATALLION , yesterday I was looking at Forces War Records and could not find it, there are so many holes

Thanks Shirley for your information My cousin who lives in London has tried to write to The Chelsea Pensioners to find any information on John however they have not replied. They would be able to give us his death but another avenue that did not work. Patients is what is required here.

I am looking for information on John Austin born 1827 in Wisbeck Wall Sutton in Cambridge shire. He joined the Army in 1846 and went to Bengal in India, he remained in India . Married Ellen Murphy in 1857. It is very hard getting any information about this family can anyone help me?.
