Shirley, your first step should be to buy a copy of Joseph's birth certificate. Then you will know which, if any, of those ladies are related to Joseph.

FreeBMD has loads of Houldings, spelled that way in Burnley.

There is also a George Boyle registered in Burnley with the same MMN

Or perhaps they weren't married, but Joseph was registered under his father's surname

Hi

Joseph's mother may have been married previously, her surname at the time of marriage to Boyle would be different

You need the birth certificate to check her name

I am trying to f ind parents of Joseph boyle born 1925 in Burnley with mum's maiden name being houlding. Strange way of spelling surname houlding...can't seem to find marriage of parents. :-) not sure if they Burnley .....
