Have you researched any of the parties concerned?

There appear to have been two offspring from Albert's marriage

Thank you everyone for your help. Mother in law was Margaret olive Hilda Staite married to Frank Brimson. What I did not have was any details of Albert Terry. I was trying to find the connection between mother in law and Terry. Could have just be a friend of the family. It would be nice to be able to give the medal back to the Terry family. I can now do some further research on the details you have provided.

As the OP was Michael's first post, I've sent PM to let him know how to find his replies, and how to answer.

(Save you the bother for once, Cynthia!)

Albert is in a couple of GR trees..........try contacting the 'owners'

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 15 Jul 2015 15:43

Have you tried doing any research?

No-one on here is likely to just 'know' of a connection, unless they are related.

What was your mother-in-law's maiden name, please?

Was her first name officially Margaret?

Ordinary Seaman. L 8431. My late mothjer in law Peggy Brimson had his Great War medal and I wonder why. Peggy lived most of her life in Bristol. Does anyone know of any connections please. His record exists on the Government War Records but no details.
