I am trying to find out if a great uncle of mine David Wilkes born dudley 1872 was in Netley hospital between 1891 and 1901. David was a soilder in 1891 dorset but heard he was injured Hope someone can help :-)

From the NA Hospital Database the records appear to be at the Wellcome Library in London.

The Wellcome Library does have an online catalogue so it would be worth having a rummage in there but from the record information in the NA database it doesn't look that hopeful.

There are no known surviving patient records of the hospital. I do have a report of the hospital on my website that originates from 1902 that might give some idea of what conditions were like there at the time your great-grandfather was a patient.
