Hi, I have a family group who I just cannot locate any way on the 1911. Henry Nash born 1849, born Bridgewater Somerset, wife, Alice born London 1860. they would have been married approx. 17yrs (his 2nd marriage) Living in Paddington, Middx/London, address in 1901 Bravingdon Rd, Paddington, there should have been at least one son at home my Grandfather Henry Charles Nash born Paddington 1898, if anyone can find them I would be very grateful, I know neither parent were deceased at that time.

Thank you, no wonder I couldn't find it! I was looking on the ;other' site & even when I put in the finer details you gave it didn't come up, ended up trawling through the records for the right area & when I found it virtually the whole transcription was wrong, Harry for Henry, Laura for Lillian(age 51 instead of 15) & even the address was 23 instead of 21 even though the writing on the record was clear enough. Still confused with Lillian tho, not come across her before she wasn't on 1901 'tho she would only have been 5 as born 1896, but did find a baptism record which tallies correctly, & that's without the other 2 children (non living) that I knew nothing about.
Thank you again for taking the time to help it was very much appreciated. :-D

Five children are alive in 1901.

Looks like Lilian's entered as Amelia by mistake in 1901. Or did they have a daughter Amelia?

The two oldest children on the 1901 census would be from his fist marriage if he and Alice had been married 17 years in 1911.

This looks like the family in 1891. All born in Bridgewater, except the two youngest, born Paddington. (Although the father is a sailmaker.)

Ancestry and FMP/GR/FS transcriptions can differ, sometimes quite alarmingly - FMP/GR/FS is generally better.
However, Maddie gave the full ref, viz:
Census reference RG14PN42 RG78PN2 RD1 SD2 ED2 SN131
In this case, it's a bit of overkill - rg14/42 sn131 is enough to identify the census page. However, Ancestry can't handle the sequence number - also the class number rg14 identifies the 1911 census pages, so if I search at:
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=2352
then it's a bit redundant, and Ancestry omit it.
In 1911, the piece # (42 here) identifies one particular household enumerator's walk (or a group of institutions), so limits you to 1421 names here - not an unusual number. Pre-1911 piece #s specified a group of enumerators' districts (all within the same registration subdistrict from 1861 on).
Ancestry lets me search within 1911 piece # 42 for Nash - there's only 4 hits, i.e., your mob

Do you have the marriage?

Henry Nash
Estimated birth year: abt 1859
Age: 35
Spouse: Alice Mary Hyatt
Spouse Age: 34
Record Type: Marriage
Event Date: 25 Nov 1894
Parish: St Peter, Paddington
Borough: Westminster
Father Name: Thomas Nash
Spouse Father: Charles Hyatt
Register Type: Parish Register

Looking at the image, the marriage below looks like Henry's daughter - marrying on the same day: Annie Jane Nash to George Thomas Pike. I expect that saved the expenses at the "do".
