Searching on the Victoria BMD site doesn't bring up any births for TULLY 1916-1919

Presumably she/you already have this?

I googled his name and on a site i dont know it gave a number 28903 - along with his name and that he was born Flemington Melbourne-would this help in the search somehow?

The Australian states have differing closure rules. Might Victoria apply the 100 year rule??

The 'National Archives of Aus' (on-line) shows Leslie James Tully b 27/10/1917 Flemington VIC (father James Albert Tully) voluntarily enlisted 16/1/1939. His & father's address 162 Tyler St East Preston.

James married Harriet in Victoria in 1883 (reg 6080). Shows he was born in Coburg and she in Melbourne.

Birth for Harriet in 1860 to Wm Stephen and Clara Jane (nee HILL) (reg 18077). Matches her death in 1934 in Romsey aged 74 (reg 18926).

Possible birth for James in Melbourne in 1856 to John and Judith (nee LAWRIE) (reg 867).

James was a local too! Note this doesn't match his age given at death but location is an excellent fit with Romsey.

Thos TULLY married Caroline CULLEN in Victoria in 1882 (reg 3746). Shows he was born in Woodstock (?) and she in Sunbury.

There is a matching birth for Caroline in 1858 in 'Aitkins Gap', daughter of Edward and Mary Ann (nee BURNS) (reg 16523). This is confirmed by her death in 1933 in Lancefield aged 74 (reg 14446).
