You say Margaret E Soulsby was named on the marriage cert.

In what capacity? Mother? Other relation? Witness?

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 29 Jun 2015 17:48

Looking at a tree on Ancestry which features George Waugh Nattrass Robinson, it also gives an Eliza Jane Robinson b1856.

On that basis, Robert Soulsby's mother is likely to be one of their sisters

Thanks yvonne i know Edith Little wife of Roberts Soulsby died during child birth she was married for 4yrs died in 1930 i believe the baby also died I can't find any further details of the childs name, my father only told me about Edith.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 30 Jun 2015 21:01

Only Edith's death is showing on Freebmd - 4th Quarter Newcastle upon Tyne.

Unless a child draws breath, it isn't considered to have lived, therefore no birth or death certificate was issued. Nowadays parents can ask for their infant to be included in the Still Birth register to acknowledge that it existed. The SBR entry can only be accessed by next of kin

As they died at the same time, its possible that the still-born was buried with her. There might be some notation in the burial/parish records to this effect, if the priest was sympathetic.
