Yes Jacqueline...but the 1881 Census has him Gustard Wood (which is about 6 miles from St Albans) and 1891 St Albans

Maybe they do, but I'd be more inclined to think he knew his birthplace when he was younger

I think he was dead by 1901....so can't check that one! Can anyone find 1861?
