Find Ancestors

Can anyone help me please, yes I am still tracing the Mackrell family Tree, I have managed to go back to Alexander Mackrell b. abt. 1798, in Ireland married Catherine ??? b.1801 in Ireland,I know they went to Sidmouth, Devon and he was a Boatman Coast Guard, Can any one help me to go back, I cant find his death or hers, nor can I find his parents or siblings

Any ideas please

According to the above his nomination papers give his birth as Carlingford.

Yvonne, Many thanks for your help I don't think the marriage of Alexander Mackrell in1856, is our guy, his grandfather, Alexander m Catherine Kennan she died in Ireland in 1866 and James's son Alexander was not born until 1849.... uness they grandfather split from Catherine!!!
