Can anyone throw any light on James/Jim/Jem Woodhead ,Ive got him in the 1861 71 census living in Edwinstowe then in lincoln in the 1901 but as a widower with his children some being born in Austria which I don't understand. Anyone any ideas please Ive just found him in the 1911 census married to Mary ?? but still don't know where he was between 1871 and 1901

Ive found jem woodhead in the missing census the whole family didn't have any christian names on the census for some reason. Still don't know why some children were born in Austria. Thank you to anyone that tried to help

there is a Jim Woodhead marrying in Lincoln 1902 to a Mary Newton.

Thank you I've just found that, I think thats his second marriage I think that his first wife was Jane

22 November 1913 (Saturday) - Grantham Journal - Grantham, Lincolnshire, England

Dismissed Workman's Suicide.
An inquest Monday on a Lincoln fitter, Jim Woodhead (64), whose dead body was found in the grounds of Lincoln Workhouse, disclosed the fact that he was dismissed by his employers after 43 years service. He was admitted to the Workhouse Infirmary on Saturday night suffering from influenza and mental depression. During the evening he was missed, and on looking out of an open window, a nurse saw him lying dead on the ground below. The jury found that deceased threw himself from the window during temporary insanity.
