Thanks Detective. I didn't have this. Seems he took many years before naturalisation!

Andy above tells me he travelled alone so we're not sure if he married (and split) before emigrating or actually married once in NZ. The story we've been told is that he married the daughter of a Tycoon (possibly corned beef) but her father didn't approve and the marriage annulled although this may not be true for sure.

Hi
Could any kind soul please tell me some Travel and Migration info.

John Harding b.29/03/1914 left to live in New Zealand in 1949 from Southampton bound for Wellington on Ship Atlanta.
What I'm trying to find out is did he travel with any family is wife or children? Also does it state what his occupation was?

We are not sure who he married and there's a possibility he may have split with his wife BEFORE going to NZ but not sure of this.
Any info very gratefully received.
