Why do you say 'nothing definite', Robert?

It looks clear that Mary Ellen was born in March 1866 as a Rawnsley. Her parents didn't marry till December of that year at which point she took the name Hirst.

I agree with Beverley but you need to get her marriage cert to see if her fathers name and occupation matches up
