However, may I just point out that the administrators on this site do not give help on the boards.

All such help is provided by the paying members

Obviously the baptism posted by jax is for a child with the 'right' parents, and seems to confirm what you have been told elsewhere

It may be that you can't get any further with this. Sometimes one has to accept the fact.

Was this bit of info from your contact on the other site? Have you tried to verify it, by looking for a marriage?

Maria Bailey 1817 's mothers maiden name was Brunsdon.(?)Spelling

At least if you get a copy of the cert, you'll know whether the lady was married....................and who the informant was.

In your place, I'd get it for elimination purposes, if nothing else.

The only way to confirm the information you seek is to pay for the certificates. You can eliminate that way and puts to rest any inaccuracies.

At the moment I will leave it as not finished. As it would take a few GRO records to prove the right Maria , if she could be found
