If you live in the Northern Echo area, you can't be too far from Newcastle.

Why not contact the Chronicle and ask if they have an archive section?

When I wanted info about an article concerning a fatal accident, I contacted the local paper for the area, and their archivist found it, and sent me a copy

I believe the Courant merged with the Journal. Would be also worth checking the Newcastle Evening Chronicle too (the Journal was the morning paper)

Thank you .. i will go to my library and see if the norther echo covered that area in 1921 ... it might be worth a try

Unfortunately the British Newpaper Archive only has digitised copies of the Newcastle Courant up to 1900 and I can't see any other articles in other papers relating to the tragic incident.
