	Re hunt for Martha's children: A tree (with no proofs) on FamilySearch says that Ann (see 1851 posted by both Alviegal and Jacqueline on 13th April) was Ann Martha, and that she died on 16 Feb 1921 at Craven Hospital, Richmond, Contra Costa, California, USA. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:1:M7Y9-G5M I don't see that death on Ancestry. This will be the birth they mean: Births Jun 1844 (>99%) Hyde Ann Martha Shoreditch 2 577 A possibility for her emigration????? Ann Hyde in the New York, Passenger Lists, 1820-1957 Name: Ann Hyde Arrival Date: 30 Aug 1864 Birth Date: abt 1844 Age: 20 Gender: Female Ethnicity/ Nationality: English Place of Origin: England Port of Departure: Liverpool, England Destination: United States of America Port of Arrival: New York, New York Ship Name: Edinburgh Spinster, apparently travelling alone. But no proof it's her - could be anyone. The tree says she married Martin Simeon Marshall on 26 Nov 1872 at Canal Street Presbyterian Church (no town name given) That tree gives 1852 as Martha's YOD, in London, as mentioned in the OP, but no proof given. 	You said John Hyde married Mary Ann Birdseye in 1856, was this back in Ireland? If so, is there any chance that Martha died in Ireland? The only England & wales marriages of a Mary Ann Birdseye in 1856, don't seem to involve a John Hyde. 	This may be "Louisa" from 1851 census. The name's hard to read on the census image - Ancestry has it transcribed as Leoncia. Births Mar 1851 (>99%) Hyde Lavinia St Lukes 2 293 Deaths Jun 1851 (>99%) Hyde Lavinia St Luke 2 201

	Welcome to the boards, Helenk. This is the only Martha Hyde death in Middlesex within that time-frame. Bethnal Green included Shoreditch : Deaths Jun 1851 (>99%) Hyde Martha Ann Bethnal Gn 2 17 No proof it's her either - this one had a middle name.

	Looking for record of Martha's death. She is on the 1851 census, but can't find her after that. John remarried in 1856 to Mary Ann Birdseye. Several suggestions that Martha died in 1852, but I have not found any proof of this
