Thanks BeverleyW

That confirms that it was the mother who died. I wonder if the children ended up in the workhouse

Maureen Report 10 Apr 2015 17:16

I am trying to discover what happened to this family--
William Dixie Stanley born 1716 in Kirkby-in-Ashfield Notts moved to Spalding & married 1) Ann Pickworth in 1747 died 1757 & 2) Susannah Thompson in Pinchbeck in 1758.
They had the following children all baptised in Spalding.-- Elizabeth 1758 died 1759, William 1759 (possibly died 1762) Susannah 1761, Joseph 1763 & Joanna 1766.
There is a death date for Susannah Stanley in 1766- probably the mother. William Dixie Stanley died in 1767. I can't find anything for the children after that.
Is there some kind person who might be able to find some info?
Many thanks Maureen
