Just a quick general question, my family name is Hewison which is said to be Scottish but I've researched the family back to George hewison born stokesley 1750 in Yorkshire, does anyone know when the family would have moved down or when the Scottish started to move to England? |

Google "origins of the surname Hewison" - brings up several sites that might help. I think you will find that there has been travel between Scotland and England for many a year with emigration for almost as long! |
