Can't see him either- in 1891 he's not at 9 Grace Road- that's occupied by a decorator, John Davis and his wife, Elizabeth.

Ordering his death certificate might provide more clues

1871 has him born St Ives, Devon, 1861 has St Giles, Hampshire and 1851 has Hampshire.
1861 looks like Huntt St Ives. 1851 should be Hunts.

1891 census look up please.

I have Stephen in every census up to & including 1881.but am unable to find him in 1891 on FMP.

1881... He was at 9 Grace Rd. Croydon with wife Rose A (Ann.)
He was a cordwainer/shoeman.
Rose died June Q 1886 in Croydon.....

Stephen died in Mar. Q 1896.... So he must have been somewhere...Just unable to find him. Am hoping a fresh pair of eyes.......

Please ...Could some kind person look on Ancestry for me .

Thank you....... Margaret
